Calm isn’t a Luxury. It’s Plant Science

LuxCBD started because nothing else worked. Not the underdosed oils. Not the vague wellness advice. Not the brands that slapped a leaf on the label and called it natural.

I’m Lux. I’m neurodivergent, chronically ill, and queer. I live with ADHD, autism, C-PTSD, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue. My nervous system has been running on high alert for most of my life. When I started looking for plant-based support, I found an industry full of pretty packaging and empty promises. Products that were underdosed. Brands that couldn’t tell me what was actually in them. Wellness spaces that had been stripped of the Black, Brown, and Indigenous roots that cannabis actually comes from — repackaged for people who look like me, while the communities who built that knowledge faced criminalization for it.

And I know that as a white person running a CBD brand, I have a responsibility to say that out loud — not once, and not quietly.

I knew I was part of the demographic that industry was rebuilt for. That didn’t sit right. So instead of just buying into it, I tried to build something different.

I learned the science. I sourced full spectrum, water-soluble CBD. I formulated products that were vegan, sugar-free, and properly dosed. I tested everything on myself first. And then I started sharing them with people who needed the same things I did.

LuxCBD exists for bodies and brains that need a little more. For people managing chronic conditions. For neurodivergent adults who need clear dosing information, not marketing fluff. For queer and alternative people who never felt welcome in mainstream wellness spaces. This brand is for us — built by someone who was failed by the industry, not someone who built that industry.

Every product is handmade in Liverpool. Every batch of CBD is third-party tested. I tell you exactly what’s in it and exactly how much to take. I don’t hide behind vague milligrams or wellness buzzwords. If I wouldn’t put it in my own body, it’s not going in yours.

I believe plant support should be accessible, honest, and made with genuine care. I believe the wellness industry needs more transparency, more inclusivity, and fewer empty promises. And I believe that if your body has been fighting you, you deserve something that actually helps.
